Become a Cruise Planners Group Leader!
Group Leader Incentive Program
How would you like to gather a group of your friends or family and set sail, be it on the ocean or river, and take a cruise vacation? It's easy to start planning and promoting your own Cruise Planners group. Cruises are an outstanding value for your money. What many people do not know is that cruises are an excellent place to host your group functions. Examples would be a hiking group, knitting group, yoga group, golf group, church group, family reunion, spring break group, class reunion group, corporate training group, and the goes on!
Whether you are a detail-oriented person with a gift for getting everyone together or retired with lots of time for travel, our Group Leader Incentive Program is a great way to introduce others to the art of cruising while earning complimentary accommodations for yourself and a companion!
Our Group Leader Incentive Program allows you to escort up to four groups per calendar year and cruise free with each group. We offer our Group Leaders complimentary accommodations when they escort a group. As a Group Leader you will receive one free cruise fare when a minimum of 8 double occupancy cabins are sold, and two free cruise fares when at least 16 double occupancy cabins are sold. We will work with you to add a special amenity to your group cabins. We will collect deposits and final payments, working directly with your cruise group regarding documents, confirmations and boarding passes. It's easy. We do all the paperwork, you get the credit and the complimentary accommodations.
We will help you get started with these easy to follow steps:
-
Pick a Ship and Itinerary - See how many people are interested in joining you.
HINT: New ships tend to attract the most interest. -
Select a Month to Travel - Once you have a ship and itinerary and an initial group that's interested, attempt to select a month that all can agree to travel.
HINT: The best group deals are offered in May, June, September, October and early November – but you need to reserve space early before it’s gone! -
Contact Kristin Small - Cruise Planners! Once you have an idea as to how large your group will be, as well as the ship and month of sailing, contact Kristin at 855-278-9377 and let her know that you are interested in leading a new Cruise Planners group cruise! She will explain the process to you and will contact your preferred cruise lines to obtain your official quote. After you receive your proposal, we’re ready to start booking your group!
HINT: Being flexible in sailing date may mean a better price and more amenities! -
Promote your Group Cruise - Once you have your Cruise Planners Group started, we will create a special flyer for your group cruise listing all of the information about the cruise including prices and booking information.
-
Remind Group Members to Send in Deposits - Once you have decided to reserve a new group, full deposits for each cabin booked need to be made. Encourage your group members to send in their deposits as soon as they have decided to cruise with the group.
-
Encourage Purchase of Travel Insurance - It's important to remember that there are penalties on a group starting at 70 days prior to departure so please get your group to buy third party travel insurance. We have recommendations.
HINT: Third party insurance offers more comprehensive coverage than your average cruise line package. Insurance is based on price per person of vacation. -
Plan Some Fun - Plan some group activities during the cruise, or make arrangements to go on some shore excursions together. Decide if you want the group to have a pre-cruise party at a day early to get to know each other before the cruise.
-
Final Payment - Final payments will be due along with all gratuities, which are prepaid on all groups. Passengers that are purchasing an air/sea package will have their transfers included from the airport to and from the ship.
HINT: For those that are booking their own air, transfers are available for purchase.
